Pallet shipping is freight shipping β different from package shipping in nearly every meaningful way. This page explains exactly how we ship pallets, what to expect on delivery day, what the options cost, and how to handle the inspection window that protects your purchase.
How Fast We Ship
Every in-stock pallet dispatches within 5 business days of payment clearing. Most orders leave our docks within 2 to 3 days. If a pallet is sold but not yet inbound to one of our warehouses (rare, and clearly marked on the listing), the dispatch window extends to 10 business days. You’ll receive carrier tracking the moment your pallet is picked up.
Delivery Timelines
From dispatch to your door, typical freight transit times look like this:
- Same region (within 500 miles of warehouse): 2β3 business days
- Adjacent regions (500β1,200 miles): 3β5 business days
- Cross-country (1,200+ miles): 5β8 business days
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico: 10β21 business days (custom freight quote required)
These are business days, not calendar days. Holiday weeks and severe weather can extend timelines by 1β3 days.
Carriers We Use
We work with established national LTL (less-than-truckload) freight carriers including R+L Carriers, Estes Express, XPO Logistics, Saia, and ABF Freight. For truckload orders (8+ pallets), we use dedicated full-truckload carriers with direct routing.
Delivery Service Options
Standard Commercial Delivery (included)
Pallet is delivered to a commercial dock or loading area. The carrier expects a forklift on your side. No appointment required at most commercial addresses.
Liftgate Delivery (+$75β$125)
The truck has a hydraulic platform that lowers the pallet to ground level. You’ll need to move it to its final spot yourself with a pallet jack or by unloading items individually. Required for any residential delivery without a dock.
Residential Delivery (+$95)
The carrier delivers to a residential address. Almost always combined with liftgate service. Carriers require a phone-call appointment 24 hours before delivery for residential addresses.
White-Glove Delivery (+$200)
The carrier delivers the pallet inside the threshold of your home or business (garage, first room, etc.). Best for buyers without forklifts or pallet jacks who don’t want to unload at the curb.
Inspection Window (Read This Before Delivery)
This is the most important section of this page. The carrier will hand you a Bill of Lading (BOL) and ask you to sign. Before you sign, walk around the pallet and look for visible damage: torn shrink wrap, crushed corners, broken boxes inside, fluid leaks.
If you see visible damage, do not refuse the shipment. Sign the BOL with the note “Received with visible damage β see attached photos.” Take photos before, during, and after unloading. Email the photos and BOL within 48 hours to sales@palletkings.shop and we’ll handle the carrier claim.
For hidden damage (broken items inside otherwise-intact packaging), you have 14 days from delivery to file a claim.
Free Shipping Threshold
Orders over $1,500 ship free within the continental US (standard commercial delivery only β liftgate, residential, and white-glove upgrades are still extra).
Pickup at Warehouse
Local pickup is available at all three warehouses (Dallas, Atlanta, Reno) for buyers within driving distance. Pickup orders ship $0 freight and are typically ready within 2 business days.
